Hunting Trips

Guided Hunts

Aspen Wilderness Outfitters Ltd., is known for their excellent Bugle Hunts. We specialize in guided Archery and Black Powder Hunts for Elk and Deer in remote Wilderness Areas. The base camp is accessible only by horseback in an untouched area that has abundant trophy elk and deer. Majestic, high country scenery, peak fall colors, as well as virgin trout waters are added benefits to these week long adventures. Once you have experienced a trophy bull elk, bugling at 30 yards, you will be hooked forever. Guides are professional at primitive weapons techniques for getting game close by either calling, stalking or stand hunting.

Once in camp, you will find comfortable lodging in wall tents with wood burning stoves, and cots with foam pads. Western style meals are prepared by our experienced cooks. Meals include a hearty hot breakfast and dinner and cold lunches and snacks for the trail. Fresh produce, fruit and meats are prepared daily. We hunt from horses except during the stalk of game. Bookings allow for only 6 hunters in camp, to provide you with a quality service and memorable hunt.

We have been providing, high quality, primitive weapons hunts for almost 20 years with a high success rate. Pope and Young caliber bulls are taken almost every year. Multiple, close encounters, at short ranges are typical for the week.
